Peshtigo Area Foundation
The Peshtigo Area Foundation was established by a group of Peshtigo citizens involved in the Peshtigo Economic Development Partnership Inc., (PEDPI) which felt that the Peshtigo area needed its own fund within the Foundation.
Established in 2006, the Peshtigo Area Foundation was created for the purpose of assisting and promoting charitable activities in the Peshtigo Area. The advisory board is responsible for reviewing grant applications, growing the fund and recommending awards to those community organizations and programs that are making a difference in the Peshtigo Area.
In the last year, the Peshtigo Area Foundation has grown from $25,000 in assets to nearly $56,000. This growth was spurred by a $10,000 matching grant program sponsored by Tim & Debbie Rennes. Since the Foundation began awarding grants in 2007, $2,200 has been awarded to 6 different non-profit organizations in Peshtigo. The Foundation recently established its first two scholarship funds, the Michael and Annetta Tonn Family Scholarship Fund and the Bulldog Alumni Fund.
